Dr Andrew Tibbs

I’m Dr Andrew Tibbs, a Roman archaeologist from Durham University who specialises in the Roman occupation of North Britain and Scotland, and using remote sensing technologies (such as aerial imagery, LiDAR, and GIS) as part of my research. As well as being an academic, I have an extensive background in communications, public relations and media engagement, having spent over 17 years working in the heritage, charitable and higher education sectors.

I regularly provide advice and support to those working in heritage and archaeology sectors, and am happy to look at working on new projects. Most recently, I have contributed to regional research frameworks, provided historical consultancy for film projects, and I work with the media regularly.
